why we need photography

Abigail Bobo
why we need photography

On film scan nights,
when I get those magic emails from my lab
I stay up way too late.

Away from the hustle, bustle and heat of the shoot day
I see the tiny, warm, and human moments
I captured almost without thinking.
They make up what is important.

You should care about photography
not because you're putting on a facade
or trying to impress anyone

but because it will thrill you to the core
and keep you warm long after the sun goes down.

And somehow,
the people who believe this ethos find me.

Brands who want to connect with their customers on a human level.
Couples who want real and true photographs.

I'm not here to make a mountain out of a molehill.

The molehills are the mountain.

Grace and truth are found in the tiniest little moments
that string us all together.
